And it has Quick Select buttons you can use to one-touch select a frequently-used video source or surround mode. The large character display makes operation simple and easy.

Fully discrete, identical quality and power for all 5 channels (140w per channel) To faithfully reproduce the original surround sound, each of the AVR-X500's 5 channels is equipped with the same power amp of equal power. Since these power amps also use discrete circuits configured with parts strictly selected for their contribution to high sound quality, rather than with low-cost integrated circuits (ICs), the surround sound playback is of impeccably high quality. The "simple and straight" design concept has been thoroughly implemented in the signal paths to contribute to immaculately clean audio playback. Signal paths are as short as possible to keep signal degradation in the audio circuitry to an absolute minimum.

4x HDMI in (1 on front panel) / 1 x HDMI out
The AVR-X500 provides a generous supply of 4 HDMI inputs, including 1 on the front. These inputs can be used to connect mobile devices such as a camcorder or tablet, allowing you to immediately enjoy videos, photos, and music. All these support 3D video and HD Audio.
